Mapoly Radio 99.7FM to begin operation in November

The Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic,(Mapoly) has announced November as tentative date for the full commencement of MAPOLY Radio 99.7FM following the donation of Broadcasting equipments by an Alumnus of the institution.

Grateful to receive in the Rector’s office today, the delivery of donation of multi-million naira operational equipment for the take-off of the long awaited terrestrial MAPOLY Radio by an Alumnus, Otunba Gbolahan Macjob to the Management of the institution.

The donor, Otunba Gbolahan Macjob, a graduate of Mass Communication department of the institution, is an ace broadcaster for the BBC, who launched MAPOLY online radio in August before the current donation to support his alma mater explained that the broadcast industry is being taking over by non-professionals, saying the establishment of the radio station would allow the students to be equipped with the best practical knowledge.

“We want to make sure that MAPOLY Students are the best in the broadcast industry because charlatans are taking over the industry. We have the best grooming in MAPOLY Mass Communication despite the little resources”,Macjob.

Reacting to this gesture, the Ag. Rector, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji, exultantly eulogized the Illustrious Alumnus, Otunba Macjob, for the donation of ultramodern radio equipment, adding that, he has written his name on a platter of gold.

Odedeji disclosed that full operation of the Radio station will begin in November, 2020 while he charged other well-meaning alumni, individuals and corporate bodies to follow suit.

Items donated include; 3 headphones, 1 multimedia audio mixer, one laptop, 3 microphones were received by the Acting rector in company of Staffs from the Department of MassCommunication ably led by the Acting Head of department, Dr Wasiu Tejuosho.
