Social media celebrity, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has opened up about struggling with suicidal thoughts amid federal government probe over N15 million bribery allegation.
Recall that the cross-dresser, who prefers to be referred to as female, was released from prison on August 5 after ‘she’ was sentenced to six months on April 12 for abusing the naira.
However, her latest ordeal started on Tuesday after VeryDarkMan, born Martins Otse, shared a purported audio recording online wherein she claimed she bribed some Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials with N15,000,000 to drop the charges against her.
Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed transgender has since described the viral recording as “fake”, arguing that she did not pay any amount to the anti-graft agency.
The social media celebrity also insisted that “I served my term in prison”.
Her denial came after the anti-graft agency invited VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky over bribery allegations against its officials.Ola Olukoyede, the EFCC chairman, also ordered an immediate investigation into the allegations.
Similarly, Falz, the rapper, appeared to have confirmed a part of VeryDarkMan’s claims in a warning letter to the activist.
In a letter demanding the activist to retract his allegation, Falz claimed the crossdresser called him to seek financial assistance of “N3 million to pay some officials to get a VIP prison section” — which he declined.
But on Thursday in a post on Instastory, Bobrisky revealed the emotional toll of the whole saga.
The crossdresser also emphasised that she does not seek sympathy but longs for understanding and support.
“I have never in my life thought about suicide in my life but now is coming to my head seeing what human being are doing to their fellow human just in d name you want to bring them down by force or because you don’t like them,” she wrote.
“I don’t need no sympathy from anyone. People i might have need sympathy from are my late parent. But who will fight for you? Friends? HATERS YOU WON.”
