Troops of the Nigerian Army conducting clearance operations have reportedly neutralized two terrorists in Kaduna State.
According to the Nigerian Army, the troops subdued the terrorist elements during an ongoing operation at Gama Gira Village, in Igabi Local Government Area of the State on Thursday.
It was said that the troops recovered one AK-47 rifle and one magazine loaded with 7 rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition during the operation.
“Other items recovered during the operation are one Tecno mobile phone, a phone charger and a cash sum of One Hundred and Two Thousand,Ten naira only.
“In a separate operation, troops recovered one PKT gun from fleeing terrorists at Jangeme Ruwan Kunku general area. The recovery was made after troops exploited the general area following a sustained operation that led to the dislodgement of the terrorists in the area.
“The gallant troops are maintaining aggressive operations to clear the remnants of the insurgents in the general area,” a statement by the Nigerian Army added.
