NLC Urges Workers Be on Alert to Halt Economic Activities if Ajaero Faces Arrest

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) leadership has raised concerns about the Federal Government’s intimidation of its leaders.

In response, they have alerted their members and affiliated organizations to be on high alert, warning of a potential nationwide strike if the Nigerian Police Force proceeds to detain their president, Joe Ajaero.

Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, deputy president of the union, revealed the resolution following an urgent meeting of the group’s National Executive Council on Tuesday.

Femi Falana (SAN), the NLC lawyer, has write to the police that the labour leader will be available on Wednesday 29th of August as he is currently engaged on some official assignment.
