Nnamdi Kanu, The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being convicted of 7 count charge of terrorism.

The sentencing was announced on Thursday by Justice James Omotosho at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Kanu was handed a life imprisonment sentence for Counts 4, 5 and 6 of the seven-count charges, while he was handed a 20-year jail term for Count 2.
