The Mining Marshals, a Special Squad of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has secured a major breakthrough in a relentless onslaught against Illegal Mining in Nasarawa State.

In a recent statement by Afolabi Babawale, National spokesperson of corps, quoted Assistant Commandant John Onoja Attah, commander Mining Marshals Special squad saying that security operatives are actively involved in facilitating illegal mining activities in Nasarawa State.
The statement, however, hinted that the Mining Marshals dismantled a fortified illegal mining site in Rafin Gabas, Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State where three Chinese nationals were caught in the illegal act.
Meanwhile, the illegal mining site has been sealed, and a manhunt launched against the fleeing suspects.
