Ogun Police Reinforce Security Ahead of Eid-el-Fitr

The Ogun State Police Command has intensified security measures across the state ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, assuring residents of a peaceful and hitch-free festive period.

The Command said it has strengthened security arrangements with a focus on protecting worship centres, critical infrastructure and ensuring the safety of residents before, during and after the celebrations.

As part of the proactive strategy, police personnel and operational assets have been deployed to strategic locations across Ogun State. These include Eid prayer grounds, markets, highways and other major public spaces.

The police noted that the deployments are supported by coordinated patrols, intelligence-led operations and enhanced surveillance aimed at deterring criminal activities and ensuring swift response to any emerging threats.

The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan and extended best wishes for a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining law and order and safeguarding lives and property across the state.

Residents were also urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or security concerns to the police through designated emergency lines.

The Command reiterated its resolve to provide a safe and secure environment for all residents throughout the festive period.
