Dignitaries from different walks of life, on Saturday July 15, 2023, stormed Abeokuta, Ogun State capital for the Dinner and Awards ceremony of the 115th anniversary of Old Boy’s of Abeokuta Grammar School.
The event was graced by illustrious Old Boys of the Abeokuta Grammar School with the presence of Olowu of Owu, HRM Oba (Prof.) Saka Adelola Matemilola, Olubara of Ibara,Oba Jacob Omolade held at the School Hall, with the presentation of Awards to Outstanding Old Boys.
The Categories of Award include Distinguished Award,(DA) and the AGSOBA Merit Award,(AMA) and AGSOBA Recognition Award(ARA) in recognition of outstanding old Students who have contributed immensely to the development of the institution and has served meritoriously.
The Awardees include; AGSOBA Adebimpe Sanni and Agsoba Olajomipupo for Distinguished AGSOBA (DA) Award, Agsoba Olawale Jiboku, AGSOBA Olatunde Nurain Abudu,Agsoba Adeniyi Adeniran,Agsoba Tosin Nosir and AGSOBA Tosin Adesile for Agsoba Merit Award, (AMA) while Agsoba Abayomi Ogunjimi received the AGSOBA Recognition Award (ARA).
Also present at the Award ceremony was the Immediate Past President General,IPPG, Distinguished AGSOBA, Hon Lanre Laoshe and a host of Others.
Earlier before the presentation of Awards,was the commissioning of Projects embarked upon by AGSOBA Clubs by the President-General, AGSOBA (Chief) Sunday Oduntan,DA 7681 who led other Global Executive Council in the presence of the Olowu of Owu,Oba (Prof) Saka Matemilola.
