By our Reporter

In line with the mission to boost tourism and preserve cultural assets across the state, the Ogun State Government will commence the renovation and facelift of the Olumo Rock Tourist Complex.

Following this action, Olumo rock will be closed temporarily from Monday, April 14, 2025.

According to a release signed by the Hon. Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Sesan Fagbayi stated that this development was part of a broader commitment to revamp one of our most iconic tourist destinations, improve visitor’s experience and to ensure safety measures during the renovation.

He explained that Olumo Rock receives over 70,000 visitors annually, which needs a befitting outlook, hence the reason for the renovation.

He also stated that the State Government apologises to all tourists and the general public for any inconveniences the development may cause, adding that further updates would be communicated as work progresses.
