Oyo picks Omolewa to lead PMS

Oyo State Government has announced former Secretary of the Park Management System (PMS) Oluwatomiwa Omolewa as new chairman of the outfit.
It said Kasali Lawal aka Baba Bola will serve as the secretary.

The appointment is part of the reorganisation of the PMS by the State Government.

Last Friday, all warring factions of the public transport sector in the State agreed to sheath their sword and work with the State Government for peace to reign.

The peace pact followed the sack of the former Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the PMS, Mukaila Lamidi aka Auxiliary.

The sack was trailed by pockets of crisis across the capital city.

The situation led the police to invade his residence where a cache of arms, ammunition and other dangerous weapons were recovered.

Although Auxiliary escaped arrest, about 78 of his men were paraded by the police.

The police declared him wanted, a development the fleeing transport leader condemned while speaking from his hiding on a radio programme on Saturday.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Sulaimon Olanrewaju on Sunday, said the government is committed to reorganising the sector and ensuring all groups and factions were carried along for safer and better Oyo State.
