Oyo State Fire Services Dosed Petrol Tanker Explosion at Celica Junction in Ibadan

Firemen of the Oyo state fire service led by ACFS Adeniyi Adesina attended to a petrol trailer tanker loaded with 33,000 litres of premium motor spirit (PMS ) and a car engulfed by fire.

The Firemen swiftly swung into action by applying chemical foam compound and restricted the fire from spreading to the nearby NNPC petrol station and other surrounding properties.

The fire was jointly extinguished with the officers from Federal Fire Service

The fire incident was as a result of brake failure of the truck which was on motion and lost control hitting a Prado jeep and a car, causing it to fall and igniting into flames.

There was no casualty recorded but the affected the trailer tanker and the car while the Jeep was hit by the trailer and thrown into a nearby gutter.

The fire services were able to able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby NNPC filling station and other properties from the devastating fire.
