Two suspects involved in the killing of an 80-year-old woman in the Ihiala local government area of Anambra state have been arrested by the police.

The command in a statement by Tochukwu Ikenga, Police spokesperson made available to said the suspects Chidiebere and Ibeabuchi were arrested during a joint patrol at Ihiala community when the deceased son sighted the stolen motorcycle being driven by the suspect along Ezego junction in Ihiala.
The 80-year-old victim Mrs Theresa Igbojonu was said to have been tied on both legs and mouth before she was strangled to death.
Meanwhile, the black CG motorcycle allegedly stolen from the deceased has since been recovered.
The Anambra state police commissioner CP Ikioye Orutugu has directed the immediate transfer of the case to the state Criminal Investigation Department in Awka the state capital for discreet investigation as efforts are ongoing to arrest other suspects currently on the run.
