The Nigeria Police Force has announced plans to embark on a simulation exercise on crisis response around Idu Train Station, Abuja.
It said the training exercise, which will take place on Thursday from 9am to 2pm, is in furtherance of efforts in combating all forms of crimes and criminality in Nigeria.
According to ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, the Federal Government initiated the joint operation and training exercise to prepare security forces to respond appropriately and adequately to security threats in Nigeria.
“Members of the public are hereby enjoined not to panic as the exercise, which will come with heavy sounds of explosives, will be carried out in a controlled environment with no possible danger to residents as it is aimed at simulating response to emergency situations,” the statement issued by Adejobi added.
