RENO OMOKRI TO PAY 100 MILLION TO MOTHER OF ABUSED BOY

By Stephen Adoga

Reno Omokri, the former aid to ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on digital media, has vowed to pay One Hundred million naira to Mrs. Don Davis, the mother of the boy allegedly abused by his classmates at Deeper Life High school.

Reno, a Nigerian born pastor who resides in the United States of America and is widely followed by Nigerian across his Facebook, Instagram and twitter handles, made this known via a video posted on his official social media handles on Thursday. In the five minutes video, Reno explained that the money will be paid to cover damages if Mrs. Davis could provide evidence to substantiate claims she reportedly made against the fiery government critic, alleging bullying and threats to life after Mrs. Davis had allegedly accused Pastor W.F Kumuyi, the General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, of threats to life.

Explaining how he came into the matter which is still in Court, Reno said he was moved to speak on the issue because of the allegation he said Mrs. Davis leveled against the ardent preacher of holiness, whom he described as a man of integrity whose calling will not allow to condescend to such low level of behavior.

Mr. Reno expressed surprise at the allegation that he threatened Mrs. Davis life, asking why him, who is known for fighting for justice for the oppressed, especially Leah Sharibu, the kidnapped Chibok girl still in custody of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents, would be against someone seeking justice for her son who has allegedly suffered abuse in the hands of a school.

Reno dismissed the allegation of threat to life as ridiculous and challenged his accuser to, as a social media savvy person, provide receipts of mail and chats sent to her computer and mobile phone, or obtain the records of the threatening calls made to her phone, to claim the 100million naira damages she has asked the court to compel Deeper Life to pay.
