The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it has boosted capacity of the National grid with additional 5,910 MVA transformer to ensure its reliability
Aminu Tahir, General Manager, Project Coordination, reveals that this is achieved through the implementation of various donor funded projects under the Project Management Unit of TCN.
The unit is currently executing projects funded by the World Bank, Agence Française de Développement (AFD), and the African Development Bank (AFDB), while the procurement process for the Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA Lagos and Ogun Projects are being finalised.
Several of the donor funded projects TCN says have been completed, while others are about 80 per cent completed.
