Pastor Chris Okafor has made a strong and controversial statement addressing arrogance, respect, character, and marriage, delivering his message in blunt terms in a Sunday service.

According to him, “you are very arrogant and you talk to people anyhow,” adding that even when corrected, “you will still say, ‘i don’t respect anybody and i am not okay.’” He criticised such behaviour, stressing that the person involved is a young woman who “opens her mouth to talk like that,” which he described as unacceptable.
He went further to question attitudes toward marriage, asking, “which man would want to marry you when they know you are not okay? or when they know you have slept with different men?” While acknowledging that his words might be painful, he insisted, “god forbid, i know what i am saying might be painful, but the truth is always bitter.”
Continuing his remarks, he said, “you are always arrogant and rude to people when you don’t even have a father that has a name.” On marriage and submission, he stated, “there is no man that will marry a woman that cannot be submissive,” backing his position with biblical references.
According to him, “you have to be a wife first before a man can marry you,” adding that “when a girl is taught, she listens and obeys.”
