President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the establishment of a military base in Plateau State. The Barracks will be located in Miller Farm (Gada Biyu) Mbar District of Bokkos local government area.

President Tinubu also directed General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defense Staff to coordinate the implementation of this initiative to address the security challenges facing the region.

The creation of this military base is a result of reoccurring tragic attacks resulting in the loss of over 200 lives across three local government areas in Plateau state especially in Bokkos, Mangu, and Barkin Ladi.

Once operational, the Barracks will swiftly intervene to address the relentless attacks and killings in Bokkos, Mangu, Riyom, Barkin Ladi, and neighbouring Nasarawa state.
