President Bola Tinubu has made a U-turn on a plan to return to France barely 24 hours he landed in Abuja.
It was learnt that the president will no longer travel to France.
A close aide to Tinubu disclosed this to the press, adding that the president is presently at the Presidential Villa in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
“President Bola Tinubu will no longer be going back to France. He is presently in Aso Rock,” the president’s close aide said.
It was earlier reported that Tinubu would return to France today after swearing in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) pending her confirmation by the Senate.
Meanwhile, a flight tracker showed that the presidential aircraft is due to fly to Nice in France on Friday afternoon, following a flight from the same location to Abuja yesterday.
It was learnt that the flight plan for the presidential plane has been cancelled.
The Nigerian leader had cut short his visit to France and returned to Nigeria to swear in Kekere-Ekun as CJN following the retirement of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola on Thursday.
