Dr. Oluwatosin Olowojebutu, Lagos State Chairman, University of Lagos,(Unilag) Alumni has embarked on reconciliation moves for a united alumni association.
He made this disclosure during his visit to the Oyo State Unilag Alumni Association on Saturday 9th January, 2020 to share the vision of sustaining Unilag as a global brand.
Dr. Olowojebutu who was accompanied by Dr. Micheal Oloyede, the Deputy Dean 1 of Students Affairs, Unilag and other prominent members of the Lagos state branch as well as the team working directly with him were received by the executives of the Oyo state branch led by Dr. Bisi Akin Alabi, former Special adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Education.
During a reception in honour of the newly elected Chairman of Lagos Alumni, Dr Oluwatosin Olowojebutu and Dr. Micheal Oloyede, the Deputy Dean 1 of Students Affairs at the University of Lagos who was appointed last year by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, the Chairman, accentuated the role of love in synergizing the various branches of the association adding that what is left for the nation’s first choice University was to rid itself of hurtful pasts and allow for a common front.
He went on to further advocate that the future of the University lies predominantly in the hands of the Alumni Association saying the University has made us and we must make the University better than it has made us by giving back to promote and sustain it as a global brand.
Olowojebutu hinted that his visit to Ibadan was out of a collectively consented approach, that there is a need for the Chairman of Lagos State to visit more branches of the association towards building a strong synergy in the interest of the Alumni Association in Nigeria.
