As part of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their class, and give back to the institution that nurtured them, members of the 1984 Alumni set of the Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos (UNILAG) have donated state-of-the-art internet connectivity infrastructure to their alma mater.
The handing-over ceremony of the internet connectivity project which includes cable LAN devices and 21 wireless access point installations covering offices and classrooms within the Department took place on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Adelaja Odukoya who represented the UNILAG Vice Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS at the event commended the 1984 Alumni Class for their generosity.
He described the gesture as a remarkable symbol of the innovation being recorded by the University as a result of the synergy with its alumni.
