The Committee for reinstatement of the University of Lagos,(Unilag) has announced a grand reception to usher in the Vice Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe.
According to a broadcast message sent within Staff and other affiliated groups stated that all members of the University Community are to gather at the University main gate at 9am in the morning to usher in the just reinstated Vice Chancellor.
The broadcast further added that covid-19 protocol will be duly followed as members of the University are advised to come with their face mask and hand sanitizer.
It would be recalled that after considering the report of the visitation panel to the University of Lagos, the President through the Ministry of Education announced the reinstatement of the removed Vice Chancellor by the Babalakin led Council.
The Statement which was signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Education quoted Muhammadu Buhari, “the President hope these steps will bring peace, stability, focus and direction to the University.”
