The Governing Council of Wesley University, Ondo State, has elevated Dr. Dayo Duyile from the rank of an associate to full Professor.

Dayo Duyile, 83, doyen of journalism, started his bachelor’s degree programme in 1972, finishing in 1978, paving the way for future career advancement. He became editor of the Daily Sketch and other publications including The Sketch and Drum Magazine, by the time he returned to the University of Lagos for his masters in 1991, he had already become the Director of the Nigerian Institute Of Journalism.
For a man who has achieved so much, there were still greater heights to be conquered, and so after eight years of rigorous academic research he added another feather to his cap, a PhD from the department of mass communication, University of Lagos. The crowning glory of a career of historic proportions.
Dayo Duyile helped establish the Mass Communication departments of Adekunle Ajasin University, Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Elizade University and Wesley University.
With his various contributions to the media and the academia boasting of scholarly publications, Dayo Duyile has been elevated to the rank of a Professor.
