The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that since the registration began on February 3, over 1.5 million candidates have successfully registered.

The Examination body has however, declared that registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will close on March 8, 2025, with no possibility of an extension.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB spokesperson emphasized that the deadline was clearly stated in all advertisements and the official 2025 UTME calendar.

He urged prospective candidates to avoid last-minute delays and register promptly.

JAMB noted that its calendar is fixed, with tightly scheduled activities such as examinations, results processing, and admissions.

It maintained that extending the registration deadline would disrupt these plans as well as those of partner agencies and therefore, encouraged Candidates to complete their registration within the specified timeframe to ensure participation in the 2025 UTME.

The board highlighted this achievement as evidence of the registration system’s efficiency, stating that there is no need for an extension.
