Man Who Attempt to Breach Tinubu Security in Kaduna is Mentally Unstable – Police

Police authorities in Kaduna State have identified the man who attempted to approach President Bola Tinubu security during his official visit to the state as Umar Mohammed, a resident of Anguwan Muazu in Kaduna.

This was confirmed in a statement by Mansir Hassan, the spokesperson for the Kaduna State Police Command, Mohammed has been living with psychiatric disorders since birth.

Mansir added that his actions were a result of heightened excitement during the president’s visit, which led him to breach security protocol in an attempt to get closer to Tinubu.

The police confirmed that no dangerous or incriminating items were found on Mohammed at the time of the incident.

A video circulating earlier showed security personnel quickly intervening when Mohammed approached the President. Tinubu, however, diffused the tension by instructing his security to leave him alone.

The event took place during the commissioning of a newly constructed 300-bed specialist hospital in Millennium City, Kaduna.
