As security concerns rise during the ember months, Sparklight News is set to host the Ogun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluwaseyi Babaseyi, in a virtual discourse on personal safety and crime prevention.
According to Dr Tosin Adesile,Editor in Chief of the organisation noted that the programme is themed, “Ember Months Security Alert: Stay Safe, Stay Vigilant!”
The programme, scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 6pm, will focus on practical ways Nigerians can protect themselves, their families and their communities against security threats during the final months of the year.
Babaseyi is expected to share professional insights on security awareness, identifying potential threats, preventing criminal activities and responding appropriately to suspicious situations.
The discourse forms part of Sparklight News’ monthly engagement series, which brings professionals and relevant stakeholders together to address issues of public interest.
The initiative, according to the organisers, is designed to promote vigilance and equip participants with practical safety tips, particularly during a period when increased public activities and the pursuit of quick financial gains may heighten security concerns.
Members of the Sparklight News forum and interested public have been encouraged to participate in the online discussion.
