The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the killing of two persons in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area of the state.
The incident occurred on Monday during a clash at the Naira and Kobo motor park in the town.
It says while earlier reports claimed that five people were killed, the police have so far confirmed two fatalities and said investigation is ongoing.
Ibrahim Zungura, new Commissioner of Police, Osun State command, alongside Samuel Etaifo, Commissioner of Police Osun election, who visited the town both vowed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and bring anyone found culpable to justice.
