President Bola Tinubu has unveiled a new state-owned airline, Gateway Air, a cargo facility during the commissioning of the Gateway International Airport in Ogun State.

Present at the event was the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Former Governor of Ogun State, Barrister Festus Keyamo, Minister of Avaiation and a host of others.

The development forms part of the state government’s broader aviation strategy aimed at transforming Ogun into a major hub for air transport, logistics and investment.
Gateway Air will commence operations with two newly acquired aircraft, which will be managed by ValueJet.
The unveiling of the airline and cargo infrastructure is expected to complement the newly built airport and enhance the state’s capacity to support commercial aviation and cargo movement.
