Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have successfully repelled a series of coordinated terrorist attacks in Borno State, killing numerous insurgents and seizing a substantial cache of arms and ammunition.

This was revealed in a statement issued by Major General M.G. Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations in Abuja on Friday.
According to the Defence Headquarters, the attacks occurred in Buratai, located in Biu Local Government Area, and Mallam Fatori, in Abadam Local Government Area. Swift and coordinated action by ground troops and the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai was credited with securing both locations.
In Buratai, terrorists attempted to breach military positions in the early hours of Thursday, June 5. Troops responded with heavy gunfire, supported by close air support. Several insurgents were neutralized, and a large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered at the scene.
In a separate incident in Mallam Fatori, insurgents launched a multi-pronged assault.
The troops responded with superior firepower, forcing the attackers into retreat.
Pursuing forces engaged the fleeing terrorists, eliminating many and recovering rifles, machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades, and other combat equipment.
The Defence Headquarters commended the bravery and professionalism of the troops and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding national security and denying terrorists operational freedom in the North-East.
