The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspected cultists allegedly terrorising residents of the Addo Road area of Ajah and recovered a locally made cut-to-size pistol.

The suspects, identified as 26-year-old Idris Rasak, also known as Aloss, and 25-year-old Ibrahim Kazeem, alias Asunmo Kebe, were arrested by operatives of the Command’s Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) following intelligence on their alleged involvement in cult-related activities.

According to the police, the suspects reportedly confessed during interrogation to being members of the Eiye Confraternity.

The Command said the suspects subsequently led operatives to the Waterside area of Addo, Ajah, where the locally made cut-to-size pistol was recovered.

The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue to establish the full extent of their alleged activities and identify other individuals who may be connected to the crimes.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, reiterated the Command’s commitment to combating cultism and other violent crimes through intelligence-led operations.

He urged members of the public to provide credible information to the police to support crime prevention and improve the safety and security of residents across the state.
