ABSU Fresh Graduate Killed By Alleged Cult Group in Abia State

Abia State University (ABSU) student who signed out of the university on Friday was gunned down by an alleged cult group on Monday at the front of Miracle Lodge (A student residential building outside the university).

Emmanuel, a final-year student of Abia State University was killed in a reprisal attack by cultists.

According to multiple reports, Emmanuel who’s a new member of the Black Axe (Aye) Confraternity had on Monday, March 11, gone for an operation alongside his two colleagues against a rival cult group.

In a viral video circulated online, Emmanuel got shot and struggled to flee for his life. Unfortunately for him, rival cultists got a hold of him and gave him a final headshot that ended his life.

ASP Maureen Chinaka, Spokesperson of the Abia State Command, in a statement on X, confirmed the incident saying, the Abia state police command is aware. Our officers, in collaboration with the military, swiftly responded and arrived at the crime scene, causing the culprits to flee upon sighting the police. The corpse has been evacuated to the morgue and Investigations are ongoing. We also recovered exhibits and we will continue to update the public on the progress of investigations.”
