Bandits Kill Traditional Ruler in Taraba State, Army Vows to Bring Perpetrators to Justice”

Bandits have killed one traditional ruler in Taraba state, known as Chief of Gidan Usmanu Village, at the Karim Lamido Local Government area.

The details about the sad occurrence has not been known up till now, but military authorities confirmed it while the Police Command are yet to issue a statement.

Oni Olubodunde, Spokesman for Army Brigade 6, assured the family while commiserating with them that the perpetrators would be brought to book.

Oni said Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa, the Commander 6/Brigade Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke had performed an operational visit in the local councils, Lau and Karim Lamido to be precise.

Olubodunde in his speech guaranteed local residents that their visit was to ensure strong collaboration, and show the strong commitment of the armed forces in order to flush out criminals disrupting peace of the local area.

“We are here to express our condolences to the people of Gidan Usmanu and also to reaffirm our commitment to the safety and well-being of the people of Taraba State”,

“Your support is invaluable to our mission, and we will continue to work together to ensure a secure environment for all residents.”

Olubodunde thanked the people of the community for their strong belief in Nigeria Army and also encouraged them more to support Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa’s operations in the area.
