Emenari Ifeanyi, Benue State Commissioner of Police has deploys Tactical Commanders to troubled areas in Benue, following armed herdsmen activities, banditry, kidnappings and other violent crimes.
CP Ifeanyi who newly resume office barely two weeks at the command headquarters in Makurdi. charge the commanders to re – strategize and confront security challenges bedeviling communities.
He gave the directive on Saturday during an emergency meeting held at Police Officers Mess in Makurdi on with Senior Police Officers Area Commanders Tactical commanders and Divisional Police officers (DPOs). where he encourage them to work with other Quasi security outfits within their areas of responsibility while emphasizing the need for community policing.
He reiterates zero tolerance for corruption and all forms of unprofessional conduct, promised to reward police officers exemplary professionalism in carrying out their duties.
According to the statement released by CSP Catherine Anene, Command Public Relations Officer, says the CP declares his willingness to collaborate with all security agencies, quasi security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and everyone in securing the state.
