The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed early Tuesday morning bandit attack in Eruku town, Ekiti local government area of Kwara State claimed two lives and one sustained gunshot injuries.

According to the Kwara State Police Command, officers from the Eruku Divisional Police Office, supported by local vigilantes, responded swiftly after hearing gunshots from the outskirts of the town.
Their prompt intervention forced the suspected bandits to flee into the surrounding bush.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, in a statement, said two victims were found fatally shot, while one of them, identified as Mr. Aderemi was discovered inside the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun, and another victim, Mr. Tunde Asaba Ajayi, was found dead in the bush nearby.
A vigilante member, Segun Alaja, sustained gunshot injuries during the operation.
He was rushed to ECWA Hospital, Eruku, for urgent medical treatment.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo, assured residents that security agencies are fully committed to ensuring perpetrators are brought to justice, stating that efforts will continue until the hoodlums are totally decimated.
