As he gets ready to return to the dugout for his second stint as Chelsea Interim manager, Chelsea legend and current interim manager Frank Lampard feels his time at Everton improved him as a manager.
In January 2021, Frank Lampard was fired by the previous owner of Chelsea, Roman Abramovich, and Thomas Tuchel took his position. The Champions League trophy, Super Cup, and Club World Cup were all won by Thomas Tuchel after he was named Chelsea manager. Three months after Todd Boehly took control of Chelsea, he fired Thomas Tuchel as well.
Thomas Tuchel was fired, and Boehly hired Graham Potter from Brighton to take his place. Nevertheless, Potter was also fired following a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa, which dropped the blues to 11th place in the English Premier League..
After saving them from relegation the previous season, Lampard was fired as manager of struggling Everton in January, but he claimed to have gained valuable experience during his time at Goodison Park.
After Graham Potter was fired on Sunday, with the team in the bottom half of the Premier League, the legend unexpectedly returned to Stamford Bridge as interim manager until the end of the season.
Before the team’s encounter at Wolves today, he declared, “I’ve definitely changed (since the first stint at Chelsea).”
Also, he said, “I took certain things and changed them on to Everton.”
A better term would presumably be “you evolve. I have always been incredibly open to looking, listening, learning, and reflecting. I’m certainly not a person who sits here and says ‘I’ve got all the answers.
However, this will be Lampard’s first game as Chelsea’s interim manager where Wolves will be hosting Chelsea today at the Molineux Stadium by 3PM.
Can Lampard really use his expertise he claimed to possess to win today’s game against the Wolfpack, the match against Real Madrid on Wednesday, and the other games this season?
