President Bola Tinubu’s administration has unveiled a new increase in petrol pump price.
It was learnt that Abuja residents would buy fuel at N1,030 per litre. The price is pegged at N998 per litre in some parts of Lagos State.
NNPC stations displayed the new price in Lagos and Abuja on Wednesday.
It was learnt that the latest development resulted from NNPCL quitting its role as the sole off-taker for petrol from Dangote Refinery, allowing other marketers to negotiate prices directly.
This upward review comes amidst unprecedented economic hardship which follows the removal of subsidy by President Bola Tinubu.
