The Federal Road Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commenced special operation to clamp down on illegal use of number plates and fake vehicle registration numbers on Monday February 3rd, 2025.
The Special operation targeted vehicles with fake registration numbers and illegal use of number plates by private, commercial, government and diplomatic vehicles.
The Operation was headed by ACM Hyginus Omeje, Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Operation, along with ACM Godwin Omiko, Assistant Corps Marshal in Charge of Motor Vehicle Administration.
ACM Hyginus informed the press that the operation is a nation wide clamp down targeted at enhancing the National Vehicles Identification Number data and to facilitate security across the Nation.
