Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has reduced the working hours of civil servants to three days a week as part of measures to ease the economic challenges on workers.
This is also as the governor announced a 25 per cent rebate on fares for government-owned transport schemes as part of the steps being taken by the government to reduce the economic burden on Lagosians.
During the live media chat on Thursday, Sanwo-Olu noted that the civil servants from levels 1-14 would be required to work for three days a week.
However, workers in the teaching sector will continue to go work five days a week, as the governor promised that the government would ensure there was additional transport support to assist their movements.
