Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi yesterday helped Fulham secured a morale boosting 2-1 Premier League win at Stamford Bridge.
Fulham scored twice in the final 10 minutes to end Chelsea’s 12-game unbeaten run in all competitions as substitutes Harry Wilson and Rodrigo Muniz shocked the Blues to secure The Cottagers’ first away win at their west London rivals since 1979.
Both Nigerians started the game and were behind through Cole Palmer’s early goal for most of the game before the Cottagers turned the tide in the second half.
By virtue of the away win which came barely four days after the disappointing home draw with Southampton, Fulham have moved to the eighth spot with 28 points from 18 games while Chelsea are second with 35 points from the same number of games but have played two more games more than Liverpool.
