By Yusuf Olukokun

Abba Kabir Yusuf, Kano State Governor, was terribly shocked by audacious moves of drug dealers who went ahead to seek court orders to get confiscated illegal drug shipments.

While paying visit to Kano Road Traffic Agency(KAROTA) on Saturday, he was duly breifed of the situation on ground.

Dawakin Tofa, the Governor’s Spokesperson, delivered Abba’s dissatisfaction towards the judiciary for getting involved and also issuing out sanctions.

In the Governor’s remarks, he said: “It is deeply troubling that individuals engaged in the illicit drug trade have successfully procured court orders for the release of their seized contraband.”

However, the Governor made his plights known, instructing the Commissioner For Justice and the Attorney-General of the state to develop a strong model which would forestall future efforts of drug traffickers; in seeking legal help.

Abba Kabir applauded KAROTA’s effort in protecting the state against drug traffickers.
