Lagos Civil Servants Are Earning Over N70,000 far Above Minimum Wage-Sanwo-Olu

Babajide Sanwo-olu, Governor of Lagos state has disclosed that public and civil servants have been enjoying a minimum wage of over N70,000 since the begging of January 2024.

Sanwo-olu disclosed this on Thursday where he said, “by the grace of God, very soon we will see a new minimum wage that is approved for the federal and state government, The civil servants know that since January we have continue to pay the wage allowance of minimum of N35,000 over and above what they were earning before, If they are not saying it let us say it, what it means is that people earning minimum of N35,000/N40,000 before they are now earning over N70,000, that is what the Lagos civil servants has been enjoying since January.

“The government has double up to ensure that at this difficult time, it has not left is citizens on their own and so we are out here today again to assure you that we are in government to make life better for you, to provide security of life and property and to be an activator to ensure that you can live a decent life, he added”
