Today, Sunday, June 23, 2024, the city of Lagos came alive as the Igbo community and their friends gathered at the Festival Housing Authority (FHA), Festac, Lagos State, to celebrate the #LagosIgboHangout.
The event, themed “Erimeri na Njakiri,” was a vibrant celebration of Igbo food, culture, language, and tradition. The gathering brought together Ndigbo and lovers of the culture to showcase the rich heritage of the Igbo people.
The #LagosIgboHangout featured a variety of activities, including traditional music, dance, and food exhibitions. Guests were treated to a wide range of Igbo delicacies.
The event is said to have provided a platform for the Igbo community in Lagos to come together and celebrate their cultural identity. According to reports, it also served as an opportunity for non-Igbos to learn about and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the Igbo people.
