Navy FOB Deactivates Three illegal Refineries in Delta

The Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base (FOB) Escravos has deactivated three illegal refining sites, leading to the discovery and deactivation of three illegal refineries at Oteghele community, in Obodo-Omadino of Warri South West local government area of Delta state.

The sites according to the Navy are laden with over two thousand seven hundred liters of stolen crude oil and two thousand two hundred liters of illegally refined AGO concealed in two ovens, ten dug out pits , drums and twenty six polythene sacks.

The success of the operation is said to be in line with the ongoing operation Delta Sanity 2, which is based on credible intelligence, to achieve the dictates of the strategic directives of the Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla to root out all forms of illegalities within the maritime environment.
