The Kwara state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) had secured one hundred and thirty-three convictions in 2024.
Fatima Popoola, state command of the agency disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the activities of the agency in Kwara state in 2024.
Out of the 133 convicts, 123 are males while 10 are females.
Nine hundred and twenty nine persons including 839 males and 90 females were arrested. Popoola stated that 22 persons were rehabilitate at the agency’s Drug Demand Reduction Unit and reintegrated with their families.
She also disclosed that the agency also seized two thousand, six hundred and forty-two kilograms of drugs.Cannabis tops the list of the seized drugs with one thousand four hundred and fifty-five kilometers.
