He advised the Judiciary to continue remaining as a strong pillar for the survival of democratic principles and preserve the rights of the people who are the essence of governance.

He also lauded them for their uprightness, integrity, and good conscience, assuring that his administration would continue to formulate policies and implement programmes to ease the dispensation of justice and attend to the welfare of judges in the State.

Abiodun described the Judiciary as a trusted institution and the last bastion of hope for the common man, charging the State judiciary to distinguish the difference between objectivity and the machinations of selfish politicians, who were bent on taking advantage of the judicial process to thwart the smooth running of the 2023 elections.

He stated that the bench and the wig place a big responsibility on the shoulders of members of the judiciary, urging them to continue to ensure fair and equitable dispensation of justice at all times, saying “I am confident that with our crop of members of the bench, their integrity, diligence, industry and excellence that has been the Hallmark of our State Judiciary will not only be continued but also enhanced”.

In his sermon titled, “The Role of Judiciary in Combating Greed and Coventeouness, which is the Father and Mother of Corruption’’, the Methodist Bishop of Remo Diocese, Rt. Rev. Bamidele Ibikunle enjoined the judiciary to carry out its duty diligently, while the government should make their remuneration worthwhile, admonishing political leaders and the citizens to be patriotic.
