Abubakar Kyari, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security has expressed his appreciation for the support provided to Nigeria by MasterCard to enhance the country’s agricultural activities.

A total of three hundred million dollars has been allocated for Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania.
During an engagement in Nairobi, Kenya, Abubakar Kyari stated that the international support being received is a result of President Tinubu’s determination to develop food security in the country.
The Minister emphasized that under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria’s agricultural sector is experiencing a new era of growth, investment, and transformation.
Abubakar Kyari noted that despite agriculture being a significant economic driver, financial institutions are still hesitant to extend credit to farmers due to climate risks and a lack of collateral.
He underscored that this is exactly why President Tinubu’s administration is focused on breaking down these barriers and ensuring that farmers have access to the resources they need to succeed.
