 Nigerian Prankster ZFancy Arrested by Police For Spreading False Rape Videos

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has arrested Ubani Zion Chibuke, popularly known as ZFancy at his apartment in Wuse, Abuja, for circulating a prank rape video.

His arrest was made possible through the NPF National Cybercrime Center, following the complaints from social media users, accusing ZFancy of rape.

According to the statement released on the official of NPF by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Zfancy later came out on social media, claiming the videos were scripted to attract audience.

Olumuyiwa said regardless of the situation, NPF is strongly committed to bringing sanity to the public space and would ensure every individual who has violated the laws of the land are brought to book.

The statement reads in part, “The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to maintaining public safety and ensuring that individuals are held accountable for actions that incite fear or disturb public peace.”

However, the statement released by the Force PRO, also warned comedians, pranksters, and content creators to be cautious of contents they put on social media which might pose threat to public peace.
