Northern Youth Refutes Kwakwanso Allegations Against Tinubu As Baseless

By Ikugbadi Oluwasegun

The Northern Youth Frontiers (North West Zone) has refuted recent allegations made by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has sidelined Northern Nigeria in its development agenda.

In a statement released on Monday, the group’s North West Coordinator, Saminu Tukur, described Kwankwaso’s remarks as misleading and politically motivated, saying they were more likely aimed at stirring controversy than contributing meaningfully to national discourse.

He emphasized that the Tinubu administration has implemented a wide range of impactful projects across Northern Nigeria over the past two years, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, and energy.

Tukur noted specific initiatives, such as the rehabilitation of road networks to improve economic connectivity, the supply of modern farming equipment, training for local farmers, and upgrades to healthcare services as evidence of Tinubu’s commitment to the region’s growth.

He warned against what he described as political manipulation” designed to divide the youth of Northern Nigeria, urging young people not to fall prey to those using politics as a tool for personal gain.

The group reaffirmed its belief in President Tinubu’s dedication to Northern development and stressed the importance of constructive engagement and transparent governance.

The Northern Youth Frontiers, through its Northwest Democracy Watch platform, pledged continued advocacy for transparency, unity, and grassroots development across the region.
