NPHCDA, SSDC Partner To Boost Healthcare In South-South Region

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has partnered with the South-South Development Commission (SSDC) to enhance healthcare development in the South-South region.
The collaboration was announced in Abuja by NPHCDA’s Executive Director and CEO, Dr. Muyi Aina, during a meeting with SSDC’s Managing Director and CEO, Usoro Akpabio.

Dr. Aina reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring every citizen has access to basic healthcare services, leveraging its resources to work with subnational entities. The bilateral engagement focuses on infrastructure development, deployment of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to primary healthcare centres, and upgrading the entire healthcare value chain.

The bilateral engagement outlines short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals aimed at improving access to quality healthcare in South-South communities. This partnership is expected to yield significant benefits for the region’s healthcare sector.
