Operatives of the Rivers state police command have arrested a 48-year-old man named Emmanuel George for allegedly Defiling a 12-Year-old girl in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.

A statement by the state police command spokesperson Grace Iringe-koko made available, said the victim was sent on an errand by her aunt to a street not to far from their house, before she was unfortunately attacked by the suspect who dragged her into a stationery tricycle, tied her hands and covered her mouth before forcefully having canal knowledge of her and fled the scene.
Policemen were said to have been mobilized to the scene, and the victim taken to the police hospital for medical treatment and examination, while the fleeing suspect was apprehended through coordinated intelligence.
Exhibits recovered at the scene include a bundle of rope suspected to have been used in tying the victims hands, one wrap of fufu and a blue tricycle.
The Rivers State Police Commissioner CP Olugbenga Adepoju reaffirmed the commands unwavering commitment to ensuring that perpetrators of crime in the state face the full wrath of the law.
