A Joint operation by the Delta state police command and members of the local vigilante group at about 11am on Wednesday neutralized two suspected kidnappers at the Delta community of Boji Boji Owa community, in Ika South local government area of Delta state.
Bright Edafe, command spokesperson in a statement made available said operatives received credible information that some kidnappers were sighted in the community forest.
A combined team of policemen and vigilante were said to have engaged them in a shootout, leading to the death of the suspected kidnappers as a result of gunshot wounds.
Items recovered from the suspects include one AK 47 rifle with forty rounds of 7.62mm ammunition as well as two magazines.
Manhunt for other suspects is said to have commenced.
